Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Saturday proposed the creation of a Gujarat State Institution for Transformation (GRIT) at the NITI Aayog meeting, which serves as a public policy think-tank for the central government.

Speaking at the NITI (National Institution for Transforming India) Aayog's governing council meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and attended by various state chief ministers, Patel emphasized Gujarat's commitment to the prime minister's vision of making India a developed nation by 2047.

Patel unveiled the 'Gujarat@2047 Dynamic Document-Roadmap' aimed at achieving 'Viksit Gujarat' for a 'Viksit Bharat,' based on the pillars of 'Earning Well' and 'Living Well' to enhance quality of life and economic prosperity.

The proposed GRIT think-tank intends to systematically accomplish these goals. Patel also highlighted Gujarat's notable contributions to India's GDP and outlined the state's ambitious plans to become a USD 3.5 trillion economy by 2047, showcasing achievements in areas like health, agriculture, and MSMEs.
