The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) signed several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with industry partners to enhance collaboration with the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC). The signing ceremony took place on Saturday at C-DAC's Vellayambalam Campus. S. Krishnan, Secretary of MeitY, inaugurated a new Hardware Emulation Facility at the event.

An official statement from MeitY noted, "S. Krishnan IAS, Secretary of MeitY, inaugurated the Hardware Emulation Facility at C-DAC's Vellayambalam Campus. This facility aims to advance indigenous development, testing, and validation of hardware designs in VLSI and SoC technologies." The statement added that multiple MoUs were signed to strengthen the collaboration between C-DAC and various industry partners.

The MoU with Tata EV focuses on Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G), Vehicle-to-Home (V2H), and Vehicle-to-Building (V2B) grid technologies to drive development, deployment, testing, and commercialization. A similar MoU with Hykon Group emphasizes the same grid technologies. An agreement with JMVLPS Limited targets smart metering technologies for Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI). The partnership with Larsen & Toubro is focused on developing indigenous VEGA processor-based System on Chips (SoCs). Additionally, the MoU with Aheesa Digital Innovations aims to facilitate the testing, validation, and commercialization of CDAC's cybersecurity and forensic systems, CDAC-Rakshak and Darpan VNS.

Moreover, S. Krishnan launched a range of microgrids developed by Hykon Group in collaboration with C-DAC. These microgrids support the integration of renewable energy sources into the grid.
