A landslide and a fallen tree affected the movement of trains on South Western Railway's Dudhsagar-Sonaulim sections, near the Goa-Karnataka border, shortly after midnight on Thursday, according to officials.

South Western Railway's Chief Public Relations Officer Dr Manjunath Kanamadi reported that the track closure due to these incidents impacted train schedules from approximately 12:55 AM until around 6:00 AM, when debris clearance allowed trains to resume service.

Several trains, including Train No. 17310 and Train No. 17419, experienced significant delays. Train services were backed up, regulated, and rescheduled at various stations until normal operations resumed.
