India's Dilip Gavit Mahadu ended his campaign at the Paralympics on Saturday with a disappointing 8th place finish in the men's 400m T47 final.

The 21-year-old athlete from Maharashtra, who had previously clinched a gold medal at the 2022 Hangzhou Asian para Games, clocked a time of 49.99 seconds to finish last among the eight finalists.

Despite securing a spot in the final by finishing third in his heat during round 1, Dilip, whose right arm is amputated below the elbow, fell short in his bid for a podium finish.
