HCL Technologies (HCLTech) on Wednesday played host to a delegation led by UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy at its Noida campus. During his visit, Lammy met with HCLTech Chairperson Roshni Nadar Malhotra and inspected an innovation lab on-site.

'HCLTech had the honor of welcoming The Rt. Hon David Lammy, Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs of the UK,' the company stated.

Lammy's entourage included Lindy Cameron, the British High Commissioner to India, Harjinder Kang, the British Trade Commissioner for South Asia and Deputy High Commissioner for Western India, and representatives from British firms. Lammy acknowledged India's rise as a global power, highlighting its vast population of 1.4 billion and rapidly growing economy.

'Our Free Trade Agreement negotiations mark just the beginning of unlocking shared potential and fostering growth from Bengaluru to Birmingham,' Lammy emphasized. 'I am in India within my first month as Foreign Secretary to reset our relationship with the Global South and boost both nations' security and prosperity.' HCLTech Chairperson Roshni Nadar Malhotra expressed pride in the company's role as a digital transformation enabler for UK businesses, anticipating further growth in bilateral economic collaboration.

Since beginning operations in the UK in 1998, HCLTech has solidified its presence with innovation labs and has grown to be a key digital transformation partner for major UK firms, employing over 3,300 professionals.
