CCI Approves Dixon Technologies' Acquisition of Up to 56% Stake in Ismartu India

The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has given the green light for the acquisition of up to 56% shareholding in Ismartu India Private Limited by Dixon Technologies (India) Limited.

Dixon Technologies, through its various subsidiaries and joint ventures in India, is a leading provider of Engineering and Manufacturing Services (EMS). The company's product line encompasses EMS for communication devices, including mobile phones, laptops, and tablets. Additionally, Dixon Technologies offers EMS for a wide range of other products such as lighting solutions, televisions, washing machines, security systems, wearables, and hearables.

Ismartu India Private Limited, the target of this acquisition, is the Indian subsidiary of Ismartu Ind. Pte. Limited. Ismartu India is engaged in providing EMS for the manufacturing of mobile phones, Printed Circuit Board Assembly, LCD Module displays, and other related ancillary services. The company's operations include production, assembly, testing, procurement, and failure analysis.

This acquisition aims to enhance Dixon Technologies' capabilities and market presence in the EMS sector, particularly in the mobile phone manufacturing segment. The strategic move is expected to bolster Dixon's production capacity and technological expertise, thereby strengthening its position in the competitive EMS landscape.
