Li emphasized the need for collaboration under the China-Nepal Belt and Road Cooperation, aiming to boost bilateral ties in various sectors including economy, environment, technology, and culture. He expressed his willingness to see new progress in the strategic partnership for development and prosperity.

The relations between China and Nepal are premised on peaceful coexistence, equality, and collaboration. This was reaffirmed during Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit to Nepal in 2019, which elevated the bilateral ties to a strategic partnership focused on achieving mutual development and prosperity.
