Speaking at the inauguration of INS Towers, the Indian Newspaper Society's secretariat in Mumbai's Bandra-Kurla Complex, Modi highlighted India's leadership in digital payments.
"There were times when politicians doubted India's ability to handle digital transactions. However, today, the world sees India's prowess in this field," Modi said. "India's UPI and modern digital public infrastructure have significantly improved the ease of living and facilitated cross-border transactions."
Modi also praised the Indian Newspaper Society for its effective role in empowering the country. "Media helps make people aware of their strengths and creates important discourse," he stated, mentioning how the term 'startup' became household knowledge post-2014 due to media efforts.
