Google Nest Hub, previously known as Google Home Hub, has been launched in India at Rs 9,999 and can be purchased from online retail stores Flipkart, Tata Cliq, Croma, and Reliance Digital. The device is available in Chalk and Charcoal color options.

The smart display was launched in the US, last year, as Google Home Hub and was later rebranded as Google Nest Hub at the Google I/O 2019 conference. The Google Nest Hub boasts a 7-inch (17.78 cm) LCD Touch Screen. It comes with two far-field microphones that detect your voice from across the room so that you can control your Nest Hub while performing other tasks, a full-range speaker for crystal clear sound and Ambient EQ light sensor that helps the smart display automatically detect and match the lighting and colors in any room.

Integrated with the Google Assistant and Voice Match, the smart display allows you to view and voice-control multiple compatible smart home devices such as smart lights, ACs and smart TVs from a single dashboard, access best and latest pictures on Google Photos, watch your favorite video and music channels like YouTube, Gaana, JioSaavn, access your personalized schedules, daily commute reminders and more.

Using the Google Nest Hub you can control and access your latest and most favorite pictures on Google Photos and even turn it into a digital photo frame for your home. Using the Google Assistant and Voice Match, you can access your personalized schedule, map and traffic details for the daily commute, reminders for important messages and tasks and so on without even touching the screen.

Unlike the Amazon Echo Show 5, the smart display lacks an in-built camera which means you can't enjoy video chat with your near and dear ones. But Google has a genuine reason for skipping the camera feature. "We consciously decided to not include a camera on Google Nest Hub, so you feel comfortable placing it in the private spaces of your home, like the bedroom," Google India said in a blog post.

The Google Nest Hub is compatible with more than 200 million connected devices from over 3,500 smart home brands including Philips, Orvibo, Anchor by Panasonic, Syska, T-Link, Oakter, Wipro, Smitch.
