The United Nations migration agency has recommenced its humanitarian aid to Rohingya refugees in Indonesia, as confirmed by the agency's chief of mission in Jakarta, Jeff Labovitz, in a statement to Reuters on Tuesday.
This announcement comes amid previous reports indicating the agency would reduce assistance to numerous Rohingya refugees settled in Pekanbaru, located on Sumatra island.
Labovitz clarified that there are no current plans to diminish the services provided to these refugees, ensuring continued support and resources are available for their needs.
