Minister Vaishnaw's Technological and Railway Advancements in Assam
Information & Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw will inaugurate new trains and a 10 KW FM transmitter in Assam. His visit includes reviewing Northeast Frontier Railway projects and virtually launching a new electronics institute. The FM transmitter will improve reception for millions in surrounding districts.

Information & Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw took significant steps in enhancing transportation and technological infrastructure during his visit to Assam. On Friday, he flagged off three new trains from Guwahati, including the Guwahati-New Lakhimpur Janshatabdi Express, boosting regional connectivity.
Vaishnaw's initiatives did not stop there. As part of his comprehensive agenda, he inaugurated a 10 KW FM transmitter at Akashvani Kokrajhar. This transmitter will extend the FM broadcast reach to cover a 70 km radius, offering improved reception quality to more than 30 lakh residents across Kokrajhar and adjacent districts.
In addition to his transportation and broadcasting projects, Vaishnaw virtually inaugurated the National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology, deemed as a university. His schedule also included a review of ongoing projects within the Northeast Frontier Railway and a visit to the Tata Semiconductor factory at Jagiroad, highlighting his multi-sectored agenda.
