EaseMyTrip, a prominent online travel technology aggregator, announced on Wednesday that its Co-Founder and CEO, Nishant Pitti, has resigned citing personal reasons.
Nishant's brother, Rikant Pittie—a fellow Co-Founder and currently the Executive Director—will step in as the company's new CEO. In his leadership role, Rikant will focus on propelling the company forward by spearheading strategic initiatives, fostering innovation, and elevating customer experiences. This move aims to secure and potentially increase EaseMyTrip's standing in the competitive travel industry.
With a background in tourism, travel, HR, and technology, Rikant brings 16 years of expertise to his new role. Despite the leadership shakeup, EaseMyTrip's shares were slightly lower, trading at Rs 15.85 on the BSE, marking a 0.13 percent decrease from the prior day's close.
