Senior defense officials and industry leaders gathered for the Joint Electromagnetic Board (JEMB) meeting, an annual subcommittee gathering of the Chiefs of Staff Committee. This year's meeting, led by Air Marshal Jeetendra Mishra, discussed critical topics like joint operations, electronic warfare, and the integration of emerging technologies.
The defense ministry announced the launch of e-Tarang, an AI-driven system to improve defense spectrum planning and management. Developed with BISAG-N, the system aims to ensure interference-free operations in both wartime and peacetime scenarios, fostering technological growth in high-frequency communications.
Another highlight was the release of the Technical News Letter (TNL) 2024 by JCES, which outlines future technologies set to revolutionize modern warfare. Air Marshal Mishra emphasized the importance of integrating EW assets across Services and commended the first joint EW exercise, promoting the ethos of 'Victory through Jointness'.
