The Dutch government on Tuesday announced that ASML, a prominent chipmaking equipment manufacturer, now requires a license to provide spare parts and software updates to Chinese customers for previously sold equipment falling under new export restrictions.
In addition to this mandate, the government added two more tools to its national control list last Friday. This move aligns with the United States' policy on export controls.
This step was confirmed by a statement provided to Reuters by the Dutch Foreign Ministry, emphasizing the coordinated approach between the Dutch and U.S. governments to manage technological exports to China.
