HP India is set to collaborate with Dixon Technologies' subsidiary, Padget Electronics, to manufacture the company's notebooks, desktops, and all-in-one PCs in India under the PLI 2.0 scheme, according to a joint statement released on Monday.

The production is scheduled at a new Padget Electronics facility in Chennai. Subject to the signing of definitive agreements, the Memorandum of Understanding between Padget and HP India will ensure local manufacturing of these devices.

HP India's managing director, Ipsita Dasgupta, remarked that the partnership underscores the company's commitment to the 'Make in India' initiative. The Chennai plant, spanning 300,000 square feet, aims to create 1,500 direct jobs and produce up to 2 million units annually.

Dixon Technologies' Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Atul B Lall, expressed confidence in meeting the industry's high standards through this alliance. The partnership will blend HP's cutting-edge technology with Dixon's manufacturing expertise to serve the Indian market efficiently.
