Mercedes-Benz India on Thursday announced that it sees the potential for India to become one of the top five markets globally for its luxury Maybach brand in terms of sales volume.

The company, led by CEO Santosh Iyer, launched the electric Maybach EQS 680 SUV, as part of its focus on digital and electric mobility within the ultra-luxury segment. The new model is priced from Rs 2.25 crore onwards.

Iyer revealed that India has already entered the top 10 markets for Mercedes-Maybach sales worldwide, with more than 1,500 units sold across models. He emphasized that the company aims to further enhance its presence in the Indian market, forecasting significant growth potential.

Mercedes-Benz is steadily expanding its Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) portfolio in India, currently offering five models including the newly launched Maybach EQS 680 SUV. The firm is committed to the transition to electromobility and sustainability within the luxury car segment.
