71st Foundation Day of Directorate General of Aeronautical Quality Assurance Celebrated

The 71st Foundation Day of the Directorate General of Aeronautical Quality Assurance (DGAQA) was celebrated on Saturday at the Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) complex in Ozar, Nashik.

During the event, Satish Kumar, Additional Director General (AQA), highlighted that the occasion was a significant moment to reflect on the department's remarkable achievements and reaffirm their commitment to defence aviation quality assurance and aerospace safety. The management of HAL lauded DGAQA's pivotal contributions to the indigenisation, manufacturing, repair, overhaul, maintenance, and continued service support.

DGAQA, established on August 31, 1954, is a regulatory authority under the Ministry of Defence's Department of Defence Production. It provides quality assurance for airborne stores to the Indian Air Force, Indian Army, Indian Navy, and Indian Coast Guard. These include aircraft, helicopters, aero engines, UAVs, missiles, aircraft munitions, and avionics, the release stated.
