Infosys announced on Wednesday its collaboration with Stanford University's Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence (Stanford HAI) to boost AI research initiatives.

The IT giant will join the institute's Corporate Affiliate Program, bolstering AI innovation and enterprise adoption through its AI offering, Topaz, according to the statement.

Infosys will work with Stanford HAI faculty and researchers on key areas, including responsible AI usage, cost-efficient AI model optimization, and enhancing business processes through AI and machine learning.

Infosys CTO Mohammed Rafee Tarafdar emphasized, 'This collaboration aims to support cutting-edge research and thought leadership, driving enterprises towards a responsible AI journey.'

Following the announcement, Infosys shares rose by 2.06%, closing at Rs 1,939.20 on the BSE.
