The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has inked a multi-year contract with telecom giant Bharti Airtel to provide network and connectivity solutions for the Taxnet-2.0 initiative.

This agreement is an extension of their longstanding relationship, with Airtel serving CBDT as the network partner since the 2008 launch of Taxnet-1.0.

The contract was formalized with a Letter of Award handed to Bharti Airtel by CBDT and accepted by Airtel. Key officials such as Mr. Sunil Bharti Mittal, Founder and Chairman of Bharti Enterprises, and Mr. Ravi Agarwal, Chairman of CBDT, were present.
