Lohia CEO Ayush Lohia has called for long-term policy support to promote electric mobility in India. Speaking to reporters, Lohia emphasized the need for clear and wholehearted government policies to foster sector growth.

Lohia advocated for robust support through schemes like FAME 2, urging a clear five-year vision. He expected the government's full commitment towards instituting a new FAME 3 scheme.

The government is reportedly working on implementing the FAME III scheme to advance electric mobility nationwide. In addition, Lohia highlighted the importance of prioritizing electric vehicle sector lending and establishing a battery-swapping policy.

On Tuesday, Lohia announced plans to expand the company's electric three-wheeler range by unveiling five new battery-operated rickshaw models by month-end. Lohia Group aims to invest Rs 20 crore this fiscal year to bolster R&D, infrastructure, and market reach, targeting to double both sales volume and dealership network.
