On the occasion of International Yoga Day, an advanced yoga mat named YogiFi was showcased to the Union Council of Ministers by Dr. Jitendra Singh, the Union Minister of State for Science and Technology, Earth Sciences, PMO, Atomic Energy, Space, and Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions. Developed by Wellnesys Technologies Private Ltd., a startup incubated at IIT Mandi's Technology Innovation Hub (TIH) under DST's NM-ICPS Programme, YogiFi represents a significant leap in integrating technology with traditional yoga practices.

YogiFi is equipped with an innovative sensor layer that utilizes AI and Computer Vision (CV) technologies to monitor yoga practitioners' postures in real time. This feature allows the mat to provide immediate feedback and corrective suggestions, enhancing the at-home yoga experience. Recognized by the Ministry of AYUSH, YogiFi aims to simplify yoga training, offer interactive classes, and deliver personalized coaching globally, anytime and anywhere.

Dr. Jitendra Singh emphasized that YogiFi, a fully indigenous Make in India product, aligns with the government's vision of promoting innovation and digital technologies in traditional practices. Notably, the mat seamlessly integrates with other smart home devices to create an optimal environment for practicing yoga.

The presentation of YogiFi to the Union Council of Ministers underscores its potential to revolutionize how yoga is practiced globally, combining modern technology with ancient wisdom to benefit yoga enthusiasts of all levels.
