Nepal Telecom, the state-owned telecommunication company, has significantly expanded its 4G mobile services at key tourist destinations, Machhapuchhre Base Camp and Annapurna Base Camp, in western Nepal.
The enhanced 4G service will provide substantial benefits to tourists trekking in the Annapurna region as well as to the local residents and business community, according to a statement from Nepal Telecom (NT).
Additionally, NT has upgraded Deurali, another prominent tourist spot near Annapurna, from a 2G network to a more advanced 4G service.
Annapurna Base Camp, located in the Kaski district near the tourist hub of Pokhara and situated at an altitude of 4,000 meters above sea level, now enjoys high-altitude 4G connectivity for the first time, as stated in a press release issued by Nepal Telecom.
