Airtel's ultrafast 5G services available in more North-East cities

Bharti Airtel has launched its ultrafast 5G services in the North-East cities of Kohima, Itanagar, Aizawl, Gangtok, Silchar, Dibrugarh and Tinsukia in addition to Shillong, Imphal, Agartala, Dimapur and Guwahati.

In addition to the best voice experience, Airtel 5G Plus promises to offer massive speeds - upto 20-30 times faster than the current 4G speeds - allowing superfast access to HD video streaming, gaming, multiple chatting, instant uploading of photos and more. It works on all 5G smartphones and also promises to be kinder to the environment.

Airtel customers in these cities can enjoy 5G services at no extra cost until the rollout is more widespread. The telco said that it will augment its network making its services available across all the cities in due course of time.

Starting today, Airtel 5G Plus is available in Kohima, Itanagar, Aizawl, Gangtok, Silchar, Dibrugarh & Tinsukia in addition to Guwahati, Imphal, Shillong, Agartala and Dimapur," said Rajnish Verma, CEO Assam and North-Eastern States, Bharti Airtel.

The Airtel 5G Plus services will be available to customers in a phased manner as the company continues to construct its network and complete the rollout.
