Commonwealth Games medallist Jaismine Lamboria extended her dominance in the Women's National Boxing Championship by securing a decisive victory on Tuesday. Representing Services, Jaismine moved to the 57kg weight class and demonstrated her skill by defeating Tamil Nadu's Hannah Joy in under five minutes.
Her superior technique and powerful punches required the referee to intervene thrice, ultimately leading to a victory for Jaismine by second-round RSC (Referee Stops the Contest). Another notable performance came from seasoned boxer Simranjit Kaur, who used her experience to win over Railways' Prachi in the 65kg quarterfinal.
The event also saw reigning champion Anamika Hooda and former national champion Tamil Nadu's Kalaivani S secure victories in their respective categories. Meanwhile, heavyweight contender Railway's Nupur set up a semifinal clash by overpowering Tamil Nadu's Jayasree S in the 80kg+ division, while Sonu (AIP) secured a spot in the semifinals with a commanding win.
