Indian badminton sensation PV Sindhu suffered a disappointing early exit from the ongoing All-England Open 2025, following a first-round loss to Kim Ga Eun of the Republic of Korea. Sindhu, currently ranked 16th in women's badminton, succumbed to the world number 21 with scores of 21-19, 13-21, 13-21, in a match lasting 61 minutes, as reported by Olympics.com.

The 29-year-old displayed initial dominance, leading 11-7 during the first break and even securing a 20-12 lead. However, Kim Ga Eun mounted a strong comeback to take the game from Sindhu, capitalizing on momentum shifts. Competing with a knee strapping, Sindhu contended bravely, remaining level at 12-12 in the second game before Kim seized control.

This defeat marks Sindhu's second first-round exit this year and her fourth consecutive early departure at the Super 1000 event. On the brighter side, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty advanced in men's doubles, and Treesa Jolly alongside Gayatri Gopichand triumphed in women's doubles, securing their pre-quarterfinal spots.
