At the post-match press conference, Varma expressed gratitude to Yadav, acknowledging his support and opportunity to bat at No.3, a position he favors.
The match saw India post a formidable 219/6 due in large part to contributions from Varma and Abhishek Sharma, who scored a brisk 50 off 25 balls. Despite efforts from South African bowlers Andile Simelane and Keshav Maharaj, who took two wickets each, India emerged victorious, aided by Arshdeep's breakthrough performance with three critical wickets.
