UP Yoddhas delivered an impressive performance but narrowly succumbed to a 35-33 defeat at the hands of U Mumba in their Pro Kabaddi League Season 11 inaugural home fixture at the Noida Indoor Stadium on Sunday evening. Despite commanding performances from raiders, particularly Bharat Hooda's Super 10, the team fell short in the final moments.

The Yoddhas showcased tactical prowess early on, executing a well-coordinated all out against U Mumba in the 14th minute. Under the keen leadership of stand-in captain Sumit, the defensive unit displayed remarkable synergy from the left corner position. Assistant Coach Upendra Singh praised the team's strategic execution, noting the harmonious efforts between raiders and defenders.

However, Singh conceded minor lapses in focus towards the end led to their defeat. "Our strong start was undermined by crucial lapses in the final minutes. In tight games, every point matters," he stated, acknowledging their need for consistency in execution. Looking ahead, Singh expressed confidence in the team's readiness for the upcoming clash against Telugu Titans, focusing on applying lessons learned from this match.
