Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin has signaled his readiness to engage in a public debate with the opposition AIADMK over the DMK government's welfare initiatives. This announcement follows a challenge from AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami.
At a recent event in Chennai, Udhayanidhi distributed 'Champions Kit' to 2,600 sportspersons and women students from SDAT hostels across the state, demonstrating the government's focus on sports development. The kits, valued at Rs 86 lakh, were distributed at a function organized by the Tamil Nadu Sports Development Authority.
Further reinforcing his administration's commitment to sports, Udhayanidhi virtually laid the foundation stones for a district sports complex in Ranipet, costing Rs 15 crore, and an Olympic Academy in Madurai, valued at Rs 6 crore.
