Argentina Reorganizes Rugby Squad for November Tests
Argentina's rugby team has called up veterans Pablo Matera and Santiago Carreras for upcoming November tests after a victory over Italy. Matera returns from suspension while Carreras recovers from an injury. They replace Efrain Elias and Geronimo Prisciantelli for matches against Ireland and France.
Argentina has reshuffled its rugby squad ahead of crucial November tests, bringing back seasoned players Pablo Matera and Santiago Carreras. The decision follows their recent win over Italy in Udine. On Sunday, the Argentine rugby union announced the changes, addressing their preparation for vital matches against Ireland and France.
Matera, a veteran with 107 caps to his name, missed the 50-18 triumph against Italy due to a red card received during the final Rugby Championship match in South Africa. Meanwhile, flyhalf Santiago Carreras, recuperating from a calf injury, has now been integrated into the team.
The squad traveled to Dublin on Sunday and plans to announce the lineup for the Ireland game on Wednesday. These matches are pivotal for Argentina as they seek to solidify their progress in international rugby.
