India has canceled a scheduled three-day intra-squad match against the 'A' side during their upcoming Test tour of Australia. The decision has been made by the team management to allocate more time for net practice instead, as they prepare for a significant five-match showdown starting on November 22 in Perth.

The tour was originally set to begin with a warm-up match led by Ruturaj Gaikwad at the WACA from November 15 to 17. However, PTI reports indicate that head coach Gautam Gambhir, along with several senior players, have requested additional net sessions to better prepare their squad.

Following a disappointing home series defeat to New Zealand, skipper Rohit Sharma and his team are eager to secure a third consecutive Test series victory in Australia. With a place in the World Test Championship final at stake, India's batting line-up is focusing on adapting to the challenging WACA pitch conditions.
