Jannik Sinner, the world number one, announced his withdrawal from the Paris Masters citing a viral illness. The 23-year-old recently emerged victorious against Carlos Alcaraz at the Six Kings Slam in Saudi Arabia, securing a $6 million prize.

Sinner, in a heartfelt video message, expressed his disappointment, stating he arrived early for preparation but fell ill before the event. He assured fans the virus would subside within a few days, but left him unfit for competition.

Arthur Cazaux takes Sinner's place in the draw. Notably, 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic also pulled out of the Paris Masters, scheduled from Oct. 28 to Nov. 3, marking another high-profile absence.
