India's off-spinner Deepti Sharma has reached new heights in her cricket career, climbing to the second spot in the latest ICC Women's ODI rankings for bowlers. This advancement comes as a reward for her recent stellar performances.
The spinner was instrumental during India's matches against New Zealand in their ongoing home series. Having taken three wickets in two matches with an economy rate of 3.42, Deepti has been pivotal in bolstering India's lineup. Her achievements at the recent ICC Women's T20 World Cup in the UAE also contributed to her ascent in the rankings.
Apart from Deepti's success, other players have made significant moves in the rankings. In particular, New Zealand's Lea Tahuhu, Amelie Kerr, and Sophie Devine have shown improvements. Additionally, India's Jemimah Rodrigues has climbed in the batter rankings, while Zimbabwe's Chipo Mugeri-Tiripano and Josephine Nkomo have also made progress in the ODI rankings.
