Karnataka's swimming prodigies, Simran and Sharanaya, made waves on the second day of the National Para Swimming Championship by securing gold medals in the women's 50m backstroke in S6 and S7 categories, respectively.
Simran topped the leaderboard with a time of 1:00.35, followed by Kabita of Odisha and Gajapriya of Tamil Nadu. Meanwhile, Sharanaya clinched her gold with a 1:01.46 performance, pushing Dimple of Rajasthan and Pankaja of Karnataka to silver and bronze.
The competitions continued with Rajasthan's Puran dominating the S8 category and teammate Kiran triumphing in S9. On the men's side, Kerala's Tomy Joseph excelled in the S11 category, and Biswajit from West Bengal took gold in S12, showcasing the depth of talent across states.
