New Zealand's cricket team clinched a historic eight-wicket win over India in the first Test match held in Bengaluru. The spotlight was on young all-rounder Rachin Ravindra, whose batting prowess and calm presence were pivotal in securing the win.

Ravindra notched an impressive 134-run innings and shared a crucial 137-run partnership with Tim Southee. New Zealand's captain, Tom Latham, praised Ravindra for his game awareness and ability to maintain composure despite high-pressure scenarios, particularly in the decisive stages of the match.

Pacer William O'Rourke was also commended for exceptional bowling that swiftly dismantled India's batting lineup. Latham noted the collective efforts of the team's bowlers, especially the pressure exerted on India's batsmen by the new ball on the opening day, as instrumental to their success.
