Over 1,000 players registered, 450 were shortlisted, but only 107 clinched coveted spots in the ten franchise teams, including newcomers Bolts Ajman and UP Nawabs. Joining the seasoned teams like New York Strikers and Deccan Gladiators, a total of 179 international players will compete, marking this as the tournament's most significant season.

Participants from 11 countries were drafted, underscoring the global nature of Abu Dhabi T10. The draft was led by 20 players from the West Indies, 17 from the UAE, and significant entries from Sri Lanka and Pakistan. Notably, South African sensation Dewald Brevis, aka 'Baby AB de Villiers,' was a highlight pick for the defending champions, New York Strikers, thanks to his Mumbai Indians stint and dynamic batting prowess.

The draft night also saw Tom Banton, a prominent and explosive batter, who was picked by Delhi Bulls to strengthen their lineup. Bolts Ajman, one of the new entrants, made 14 intelligent picks, balancing youth and experience, spearheaded by new talent acquisition and direct signings, including James Neesham as an icon player.
