The Indian men's table tennis team concluded their campaign at the Asian Table Tennis Championships in Astana with a bronze medal. Despite a valiant effort, India lost in the semifinals to Chinese Taipei 0-3. Both losing semifinalists receive bronze medals as per the tournament's structure.

Veteran Achanta Sharath Kamal faced a tough challenge, losing 0-3 to Lin Yun Ju. Teammate Manav Thakkar subsequently fell to Kao Cheng-Juo, securing only one game in his 1-3 defeat. Harmeet Desai's loss to Huang Yan Cheng finalized the clean sweep for the Taipei team.

Simultaneously, the Indian women's team also bagged a bronze, their first in the championship's history since 1972. Despite a strong performance, they fell to Japan 1-3. The women's team had confirmed their medal after a hard-fought victory over South Korea in the quarterfinals, creating a historic tournament for Indian table tennis.
