Daniel Ricciardo's illustrious Formula 1 career may have concluded, but the Australian Supercars circuit is eagerly courting him with an open invitation. Following a lackluster 2024 season, Red Bull Racing released the eight-time Grand Prix winner, effectively ending his 14-year stint in the sport.

Ricciardo is a highly regarded figure, particularly notable for his role in the U.S. F1 boom, spurred by Netflix's "Drive To Survive." Despite his influence, Ricciardo has shown little interest in transitioning to American motorsports like IndyCar or NASCAR.

Ahead of the Bathurst 1000 race, Supercars chief Shane Howard extended a warm welcome for Ricciardo to race in Australia's premier series. Ricciardo previously expressed a desire to conquer Mount Panorama's iconic circuit, having tested Supercars equipment in the past.
