In a commanding display, India sealed a T20 series victory over Bangladesh with an 86-run triumph in the second match, held at Delhi's Arun Jaitley Stadium. The win, powered by a strong all-round performance from Nitish Kumar Reddy and Rinku Singh, clinched the series 2-0 for India.
Despite Bangladesh initially reducing India to a precarious 41/3, a century partnership between Nitish and Rinku helped recover the innings. Nitish struck 74 off 34 balls, while Rinku added 53 from 29 balls, creating a solid foundation for India's total score of 221/9. Bangladesh bowlers Rishad Hossain and Taskin Ahmed were the picks with figures of 3/55 and 2/16, respectively.
Bangladesh's run chase of 222 faltered as they lost wickets at regular intervals. Mahmadullah was the only significant contributor to Bangladesh's innings with 41 runs, as the team ended its innings at 135, losing by a substantial margin. India's Varun Chakravarthy and Nitish were instrumental with the ball as well, capturing crucial wickets. Nitish's impressive all-round performance earned him the 'Player of the Match' accolade.
