The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has unveiled a new Athlete Monitoring System (AMS) at the recently inaugurated Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru. BCCI secretary Jay Shah announced that the system will be offered to all state associations, with costs covered by the board.

In a letter to the BCCI president and member associations, Shah expressed confidence that the AMS would benefit players by standardizing monitoring practices, improving injury recording, and enhancing fitness management. Features include custom plug-and-play modules, a dashboard for health protocols, injury analytics, and scheduling tools for rehabilitation.

The Centre of Excellence, spanning over 40 acres, features three grounds and 86 pitches, both indoor and outdoor, aimed at nurturing cricket talent and advancing sports science. Ground A, the main ground, supports broadcasting and night matches, while Grounds B and C focus on practice with varied soil pitches. (ANI)
