Jemimah Rodrigues believes that adaptability and a team-first mentality are vital for India to claim their first ICC title at the T20 World Cup, which begins on Thursday.

India, who reached the finals in 2020, will commence their campaign against New Zealand on October 4 in the ninth edition of the tournament.

Rodrigues, who scored 52 in the warm-up game against West Indies, told Star Sports, "It's all about assessing conditions and playing the situation. I aim to keep it simple and do whatever it takes to help the team win."

Rodrigues highlighted the blend of youth and experience in the team as their strength, mentioning the crucial roles played by senior players like Harmanpreet Kaur and Smriti Mandhana.

Prepared to face New Zealand and Australia, Rodrigues stated, "Execution will be key against former champions Australia. We have prepared well and now it's about executing our plans."

She praised her senior colleagues, emphasizing Smriti's maturity and Harmanpreet's big-match prowess, hoping to see Team India lift the trophy this time around.
