In an outstanding display of skill and composure, 16-year-old Parth Rakesh Mane clinched the junior world champion title in the 10m air rifle event at the ISSF Junior World Championship held in Lima, Peru. Mane's remarkable performance didn't stop there; he also spearheaded the Indian team to a gold medal in the event.

Mane's victory came in a nail-biting 24-shot final where he scored 250.7 points, narrowly edging out China's reigning junior Asian champion Huang Liwanlin by 0.7 points. Braden Peiser from the USA secured the bronze, while notable competitors like Victor Lindgren from Sweden and France's double junior world champion Romain Aufrere finished fourth and sixth, respectively.

Joining Mane on the podium for the team event were compatriots Ajay Malik and Abhinav Shaw. India's women athletes also shone brightly, claiming the junior women's 10m air rifle team title. With a total of five golds, India continues to lead the medal tally at the championship.
