U Mumba is set to hold a comprehensive 40-day training camp for its 21 players under the guidance of head coach Gholamreza Mazandarani. This intensive preparation comes ahead of the 11th season of the Pro Kabaddi League, which kicks off on October 18 in Hyderabad.

The camp, also attended by assistant coach Anil Chaprana, intends to bolster the tactical understanding of a revamped defense. The focus will be on leveraging the chemistry between Sunil Kumar and Parvesh Bhainswal, alongside the experience of defensive mainstay Rinku, to combat opposition raiders.

According to an official statement, coaches and support staff aim to foster teamwork and cohesion among players, essential for enhancing the team's overall performance. Mazandarani acknowledged that while the prior season started strong, it didn't end as expected, and thus, the camp will focus on addressing these issues moving forward. U Mumba has made significant acquisitions, including spending Rs 1.015 crore to sign Sunil Kumar, marking the highest price for any Indian player at the auction. The team also retained key players and secured promising talent to fortify their lineup for the upcoming season.
