Manchester City legend Shaun Wright-Phillips has highlighted the impressive contributions of young midfielder Phil Foden for both England and Manchester City. Wright-Phillips praised Foden's ability to find space and make quick, decisive plays, describing him as 'unpredictable' with a unique skill set. 'When you give him that ball, two yards is too much because his first four steps are so quick,' he noted.

Wright-Phillips shared these observations at the Star Sports Press Room ahead of Manchester City's fixture against Arsenal this Sunday, set to kick off at 9 AM IST at the Etihad Stadium. He emphasized that Manchester City's playing style, which involves extensive ball rotation among attacking players, complements Foden's abilities.

The former player also advocated for the Ballon d'Or to be awarded to City's unsung hero, Rodri. He praised the Spanish midfielder for his intelligence, positional awareness, and dual ability to defend and support the attack. 'Rodri never needs to sprint; his brain is that good,' Wright-Phillips commented, citing crucial goals and consistent performances for both club and country as key reasons for his endorsement. (ANI)
