India's head coach Gautam Gambhir on Wednesday downplayed worries regarding Indian batters' recent difficulties against quality spin bowling, maintaining that the team possesses enough talent to counter the world's best spinners.
Addressing the media ahead of the two-Test series against Bangladesh, Gambhir praised the bowling quartet of Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, R Ashwin, and Ravindra Jadeja, saying they've shifted India's historically batting-centric approach towards a more balanced game.
Gambhir emphasized the difference between ODIs and Test cricket and reassured, "Our batting unit has so much quality that it can take on any spin unit."
