Young pacer Nahid Rana took center stage as Bangladesh launched preparations for their upcoming two-Test series against India at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. Fresh from an impressive 2-0 series win over Pakistan, the Tigers are imbued with confidence but confront their toughest challenge against the world's No. 2 Test team, India.

Bangladesh showcased grit and resilience in Pakistan, but they're now up against a formidable Indian side on home turf, having clinched 17 consecutive Test series since 2012. The Tigers arrived on Sunday and quickly shifted gears, with aggressive displays from batters like Litton Das, Zakir Hasan, and Mahmudul Hasan Joy in net sessions. Veteran Mushfiqur Rahim, known for his crucial 191-run innings in Pakistan, was also seen sharpening his skills.

With spinners Taijul Islam and Nayeem Hasan in action, and star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan set to join the team after a successful stint in the County Championship, Bangladesh is fine-tuning their strategy. Young bowler Nahid Rana, who impressed with six wickets in Pakistan, remains a key figure as India has brought in Punjab pacer Gurnoor Brar for practice sessions to adapt to Chepauk's conditions. Following their successful Pakistan series, Bangladesh is aiming to ascend from their current fourth spot in the World Test Championship rankings.
