In a recent statement, former Pakistan Test captain Moin Khan criticized the Pakistan Cricket Board's former chairman, Ramiz Raja, for adversely affecting his son Azam Khan's cricketing career. Khan claimed Azam's confidence was shattered due to inconsistent team strategies and lack of support from management.

Moin, who closely followed Pakistan's performance in the 2024 T20 World Cup in the Americas, asserted that Azam was the ideal choice for wicket-keeping and batting. However, he was dropped after a single match, drawing ire from fans for his fitness and a poor performance against the United States.

Khan emphasized the need for stable leadership, voicing support for Shaheen Afridi as white-ball captain and advocating for a single captain across all formats to enhance team unity and performance.
