Barcelona midfielder Gavi Páez trained with his teammates for the first time in 10 months after undergoing surgery to repair a torn ACL, the club announced on Thursday.
The 20-year-old Gavi suffered a severe injury to his right leg last November during a European Championship qualifier. At that time, he was considered one of Spain's key players after his performance in the 2022 World Cup.
Although Spain clinched the Euro 2024 title without him, Gavi's return is anticipated to be a major boost for Barcelona. The club has yet to specify when Gavi will be medically cleared to resume competitive play.
