India Secures 4th Straight Win at Hero Asian Champions Trophy

Defending champions India defeated Korea 3-1 to register their fourth consecutive win at the Hero Asian Champions Trophy hockey tournament on Thursday. The victory adds to earlier wins against China, Japan, and Malaysia.
Araijeet Singh Hundal scored in the 8th minute, while skipper Harmanpreet Singh added two goals in the 9th and 43rd minutes. Korea's solitary goal came from Jihun Yang in the 30th minute from a penalty corner.
Already assured of a semifinal spot, India will next face arch-rival Pakistan on Saturday, September 14, in their last league match. The semifinals are scheduled for Monday, September 16, with the final set for Tuesday, September 17.
