Cristiano Ronaldo believes Manchester United must rebuild from scratch to become competitive again. Speaking on a podcast, the 39-year-old supports the club's efforts to invest in infrastructure and advocates for stronger leadership, including assistance from former teammate Ruud van Nistelrooy. United currently rank 14th in the Premier League.
Cristiano Ronaldo has emphasized the need for a comprehensive overhaul at Manchester United to restore the club's competitiveness. Speaking on the 'Rio Ferdinand Presents' podcast, the veteran forward expressed satisfaction with the current investment efforts led by INEOS boss Jim Ratcliffe.
Ronaldo stressed that significant changes are essential for the club to reclaim its status as one of the world's best. He highlighted the importance of rebuilding from the ground up and leaned on the expertise of former teammate Ruud van Nistelrooy, now an assistant coach, to guide manager Erik Ten Hag.
As United grapples with poor form, ranking 14th in the Premier League, Ronaldo remains optimistic about the future but insists structural changes are imperative. The club faces Southampton this Saturday in hopes of a turnaround.
