Top Tennis Rankings Shake-Up After US Open
The latest ATP and WTA rankings see significant changes after the US Open. Taylor Fritz has climbed to No. 7 in the ATP, while Jannik Sinner solidifies his top spot. On the women's side, Jessica Pegula rises to No. 3, and Aryna Sabalenka holds No. 2 behind Iga Swiatek.
The latest ATP and WTA rankings reveal notable shifts following the US Open. Taylor Fritz returns to the top 10, securing the No. 7 spot, while Jessica Pegula climbs to No. 3 in the WTA list. Emma Navarro also achieved a career-best, reaching No. 8.
Men's champion Jannik Sinner almost doubled his lead at the top of the ATP rankings after defeating Fritz in the final. Meanwhile, Aryna Sabalenka remains at No. 2 in the WTA, right behind Iga Swiatek, who faced a quarter-final exit against Pegula.
Despite the ranking changes, Sabalenka emphasized her focus on personal improvement rather than her position on the list. She aims to reclaim the No. 1 spot by continuously playing top-notch tennis and improving her game. Last year's champions, Coco Gauff and Novak Djokovic, both saw drops in their rankings.
